Michael Lau (born 1970 in Hong Kong) is a contemporary street artist known for his urban vinyl art. His Gardener series, Crazychildren, S.F.C.C., mr. shoe collection together with his collaboration with Nike, Sony, Diesel and Casio, to name a few has made him a household name in the street art arena and to the crowd who appreciates pop culture. Being cited as the godfather of the urban vinyl movement, Lau’s world of art combines the ideals of music, fashion, pop culture, art, sports as well as lifestyle that emerged from the street and beyond.
