SHIM MOON-SEUP
Gana Art is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Shim Moon-seop, who has explored the essence of materiality and the circulation of time moving in and out of the boundaries of sculpture and painting. He not only formed the main trend of Korean contemporary sculpture in the 1970s by showing sculpture as an object that emphasized materiality but also sought a new direction for Korean contemporary art experimented with the relationship between objects and consciousness through abstract painting in which emotion and physicality coexist.

고암 이응노 탄생 120주년 기념전 II
Gana Art and the Gana Foundation for Arts and Culture are pleased to present 𝘓𝘦𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘨𝘯𝘰: 𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 as the second part of the exhibitions to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Lee Ungno (Pen name: Goam, 1904-1989). The first part of the exhibition featured Goam's works from the 1930s to the 1970s, including sketches, collages, and a series of 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, highlighting his journey in developing a unique abstract style.

이상국 10주기 기념전
Gana Art presents, a 10th-anniversary memorial exhibition of Lee Sang Guk (1947–2014), from July 17 to August 4 at Space 97. The artist’s first solo exhibition at Gana Art in 14 years since last held in 2011, this exhibition was organized in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Lee’s death. Retracing Lee’s course of work in memory, the exhibition introduces representative works and self-portraits from the 1970s to 2010s by period alongside some 40 posthumous works completed up to a week before his passing on March 4, 2014.

Gana Art is pleased to announce Beyond the Wall, a solo exhibition by Suanjaya Kencut (b. 1994), based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Kencut's artistic development is deeply influenced by his exposure to historical, cultural, and religious elements during his upbringing in Bali.

Gana Art is thrilled to present “Companions,” a heartfelt exploration of camaraderie, intimacy, and the joy found in human-nature connections, from the artist’s closest domestic animals to animal-inspired icons that frequently manifest in the artist’s work. This exhibition brings together six artists, each offering a unique perspective on the theme through various mediums.
