Ha Taeim
Un Passage

Gana Art Nineone is pleased to present a solo exhibition of Ha Taeim, “Un Passage”, which will exhibit sensuous abstracts paintings of “Color Band”. While studying in France, she experiences difficulties in communication and focuses on the concept of communication, which marks the birth of “Color Band”. In the beginning, she continues her experiment of painting the most basic elements of communication such as letters and symbols on canvas, and painting the colored bands of curves on top of them. In the process, she realizes that communication is also possible with pure visual elements. Each color painted on canvas in her works exists as a unique symbol and meaning of her own. In this exhibition, the artist hopes to unravel a new inner side through two main colors, Pink and Blue. The large and small curves of various colors shown on canvas convey a rhythmic and cheerful feeling to the viewer. Through her touch of brushstrokes, the traces of paint flowing down from it, and the combination of various colors, Ha Taeim not only creates the artist’s unique visual language but also shares her personal experience with the viewer through the combination of material and lyrical sensations on restrained screens and overlaps with the viewer’s experience in color. Therefore, this exhibition is expected to be a great opportunity to experience the deep inner scenery of the artist, as well as to appreciate her visual pleasure built through the repetition of colors and curves.

Un Passage

가나아트 나인원은 화려한 색채의 ‘색띠(컬러밴드)’를 감각적인 추상작품을 선보이는 하태임의 개인전《Un Passage》을 개최한다. 작가는 프랑스 유학시절, 소통을 어려움을 경험하고 ‘소통’의 개념에 집중하게 되는데, 이는 하태임하면 떠오르는 ‘컬러 밴드’가 탄생하게 된 계기가 된다. 초반에 그는 소통의 가장 기본적인 도구인 문자와 부호 등을 화면에 그려 넣고, 그 위에 곡선의 색띠를 덧칠하는 실험을 이어갔다. 그 과정에서 언어와 문자가 아닌, 색띠와 같은 순수한 시각 요소만으로도 소통이 가능하다는 것을 깨닫는다. 하태임 작업에서 캔버스에 칠해진 각각의 색은 고유한 상징과 의미로서 존재한다. 본 전시에서 작가는 특별히 ‘핑크와 블루’라는 두 가지 색을 통해 새로운 내면을 풀어내고자 한다. 화면에 보여지는 다양한 색상의 크고 작은 곡선들은 보는 이들에게 율동적이면서 경쾌한 느낌을 전달한다. 작가의 손길이 그대로 드러나는 붓질의 움직임, 그로부터 흘려 내려오는 물감의 흔적, 투명성을 표현한 글로스와 다양한 색의 조합을 통해 하태임은 절제된 화면 속에 물질적이면서도 서정적 감흥을 동시에 구현함으로써 작가 고유의 조형 언어를 창조할 뿐 아니라 관람자와 개인적 경험을 공유하며 관람자의 색에 대한 경험과 중첩되어 조우한다. 따라서, 본 전시는 색채와 곡선의 반복을 통해 구축된 하태임만의 시각적 즐거움을 감상할 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 작가의 깊숙한 내면의 풍경을 경험할 수 있는 흥미로운 자리가 될 것으로 기대한다.
