An Zongde
Le Temps

Gana Art presents An Zongde(b.1957), who delves into subjects of time and existence in his series called Le Temps(the time). Trained in painting at École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, An now spends time between Korea and France, exhibiting works of diverse genres applying objects. The objects of Le Temps are worn and faded through a process of weathering, revealing the temporal nature of worldly matter. However, An’s notion of time and reality does not focus on absence of permanence, but rather the creativity found in changing character of objects as a result of their interactions. The pieces on display for this exhibition reaffirms his message through the new varied attempts in regards to harmony and composition of the objects.

안종대
실상

가나아트는 실상(實相) 연작을 통해 시간과 실존이라는 주제를 꾸준히 다뤄온 안종대(安鍾大 b.1957) 작가의 개인전을 개최한다. 그는 파리국립미술학교 회화과를 졸업한 후, 한국과 프랑스를 오가며 오브제를 활용한 다양한 장르의 작업들을 선보이고 있다. 실상 연작의 오브제들은 풍화작용에 의해 마모되고 탈색되어 눈에 보이는 실체의 허상성을 드러낸다. 안종대가 말하는 실상이란 만물이 시간 속에서 영원할 수 없다는 허무를 의미하는 것이 아니라, 만물이 서로 영향을 주고받으며 늘 변화하고 새로워진다는 의미를 담고 있다. 이번에 소개되는 신작들은 오브제 조합과 구성에 있어서 이전보다 다채로운 시도를 통해 그 메시지를 더욱 분명히 전하고 있다.
